Privacy Policy

StartupOps (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

We are in private early access. If you have applied, created an account, or used StartupOps, this policy applies to you.

Account data: Your name, email address, and password (hashed) when you create an account.

Startup data: Information you provide about your startup — description, stage, KPIs, roadmap items, check-in responses, and journal entries. This data is used to power your AI mentor and diagnosis features.

Application data: If you applied for early access, we store your application responses for review purposes.

Usage data: Basic analytics on feature usage to improve the product. We do not sell this data.

We use your data exclusively to operate and improve StartupOps. Specifically: to power AI diagnosis, generate your roadmap, provide mentor context, and surface relevant KPI insights.

Your journal entries are private. They are only accessible to you and are not used as AI context unless you explicitly enable that feature.

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal data to third parties.

StartupOps uses AI to analyse your startup and generate recommendations. Your startup data is sent to the following third-party AI providers to power these features:

• Anthropic — primary AI provider (Claude models). Data processed under Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
• OpenAI — used selectively for specific features. Data processed under OpenAI's Privacy Policy.

Neither provider uses your data to train their models under our current agreements. We do not send journal entries to AI providers unless you explicitly enable that feature.

You control what context the AI can use. You can adjust these settings at any time from your account preferences.

We share data with third-party service providers only where necessary to operate StartupOps (e.g. database hosting, email delivery, error tracking). These providers are bound by confidentiality agreements.

Investor or mentor visibility into your startup data is always founder-controlled. Nothing is shared by default.

We retain your account and startup data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing us.

You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your data. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@startupops.app.

We may update this policy as the product evolves. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of StartupOps after changes constitutes acceptance.
